Important information regarding online services
On EMIS Access (our previous clinical system), patients would log in with their Access ID, Practice ID and password.
On SystmOnline (our new clinical system), patients log in with a username and password. The SystmOnline username will be "Access ID_Practice ID". The password remains the same, although any registration with a password less than eight characters long will not function.
For example, Brian Jones is a patient at York Medical Group and had an EMIS log on made up of the following elements:
- Access ID: 1234
- Practice ID: 778
- Password: 2opensesame!
On SystmOne, his logon details would be:
- Username: 1234_778
- Password: 2opensesame!
Welcome to the students' section
This section of our web site is aimed at patients registered with the Practice on campus at York St John University. The services we provide are tailored specifically to students.
Opening hours
The surgery is open between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only; closed Wednesday afternoon
Alternatively, you can use our Monkgate surgery (see the main section of our web site for contact details), which is open between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday
For patients who work full time and find it difficult to make an appointment with the doctor during normal surgery hours, we have extended our opening hours as follows:
- During the week: appointments available to 7.30 pm, one surgery per week at Acomb, and alternate weeks at Monkgate and Woodthorpe
- Saturday mornings: appointments available from 8.00 am to 9.50 am (alternating between Acomb, Monkgate and Woodthorpe surgeries)
Please note that:
- These surgeries are strictly by appointment only
- The telephones will not be operational during these extended hours
- We cannot make appointments or issue prescriptions
Contacting us
At times, the lines are busy; if your call is not answered immediately, please hold on and it will be answered as soon as a Receptionist is available.
- Campus: 01904 724775
- Monkgate: 01904 342989
For routine calls, it is often a good idea to try to avoid the busiest times – early mornings and late evening – especially Mondays. In an emergency, ring the surgery and tell the Receptionist the problem. It may be appropriate to take the patient straight to the nearest A&E department at York Hospital.
